Plus OneVocal doubler · 4 kinds of double, mono-safe lows, zero latency at the default
The only vocal doubler you'll ever need to sound double-tracked from one take.
Turn one vocal take into a thick, wide double in one insert: two detuned doubles with zero latency, a sixties tape double, a four-voice stack or a slapback. The lows stay in the centre, so it holds up in mono. No second take, no copying and nudging tracks.

Hear the difference
The same dry vocal, without and with Plus One.
Sung pop hook, doubled
A dry female pop chorus · Init (TIGHT: two detuned doubles, left and right)
Close rap vocal, tight double
A dry hip-hop verse · Tight / Rap Tight (less drift, narrower)
Sixties tape double
A dry male sung verse · Tape / Sixties ADT
Mono check: no phasing
The first clip in mono: the dry and the doubled chorus, each summed to mono · Init
Stacked chorus
A dry female pop chorus · Stack / Choir Stack (a wide stack of voices)
Every clip is level-matched, so the difference you hear is tone, not volume.
Plus One in action
Why Plus One
Double-tracked in one take
Turn up DOUBLE and one take becomes two: copies a few cents off and a few milliseconds late, hard left and right, with your lead still in the centre.
Doubles without phasing
Everything under 150 Hz stays your lead alone, and the doubles never sit still, so no hollow comb settles in. Sum the mix to mono and it still sounds like your vocal.
A double for every song
TIGHT for modern pop, TAPE for the sixties tape double, STACK for a wide stack of voices and SLAP for a slapback. HUMAN goes from tight rap doubles to loose sung ones.
Double. Width.
Two big knobs do the work: how loud the doubles are, and how far apart they sit. HUMAN, TONE and TYPE shape the takes.

The vocal doubler plugin
- Double-tracked in one take. Doubles a few cents off and a few milliseconds late, hard left and right, the lead in the centre.
- Double vocals without phasing. Everything under 150 Hz stays your lead alone, so the mix holds up in mono.
- Four kinds of double. The modern pop double, the sixties tape double, a wide stack of voices and a slapback.
- Track through it. Zero latency at the default, and a level-matched output: thicker, not just louder.
- DOUBLE (off to as loud as the lead), WIDTH (centre to hard left and right), HUMAN (±2 to ±9 cents, drift and timing) and TONE (open down to 3 kHz).
- TYPE: TIGHT (two detuned doubles, zero latency), TAPE (a drifting tape copy), STACK (four doubles) and SLAP (70 and 90 ms).
- MIX (lead alone, both, or the doubles alone), IN and OUT with meters, ENGAGE, and an output safety stage.
- 13 factory presets and your own preset files; A/B, undo and redo, MIDI Learn on every control; a window from 75 to 200 %; the full manual.

What Plus One does
Every control has one job: the double you hear in your head, from one take, faster.
DOUBLE
How much double, in one knob
The doubles' level against your vocal: off at 0, 8 dB under the lead at 70 % (the default), as loud as the lead at 100 %. The line under the knob reads the level in dB.
WIDTH
From the centre to hard left and right
How far apart the doubles sit, in space and in time. At 100 % TIGHT's doubles are hard left and right, 9 and 19 ms behind; at 0 they sit in the centre at 12 and 16 ms. The line under it reads the delays.
HUMAN
Tight rap doubles to loose sung ones
Three moves in one knob: how far the doubles are detuned (±2 to ±9 cents), how much they drift in time, and how loosely they are timed. Low for a close rap vocal, high for a loose sung double.
TONE
Bright and modern, or soft old-stereo
A low-pass on the doubles only, from fully open down to 3 kHz for the muffled old-stereo double. Your lead vocal is never filtered.
TIGHT
The modern pop double, zero latency
Two doubles, one a few cents up and one a few cents down, trading directions every 0.62 s, hard left and right: the sung-twice double, with no latency, so you can track through it.
TAPE
The sixties tape double
One tape-style copy about 20 ms behind with a slow 0.05 Hz drift: the classic automatic double tracking. At full WIDTH it reads at 10 ms on the left and 25 ms on the right.
STACK
A wide stack of voices
Four doubles, each with its own pitch and its own delay between 9 and 24 ms, two hard left and right and two half way: a stacked, choir-like double. Its latency is reported to your DAW.
SLAP
The slapback double
Two copies 70 and 90 ms behind, left and right, or both at 80 ms in the centre: the slapback double, still mono-safe.
MIX
Lead and doubles, or doubles only
0 % is your vocal alone, 50 % (the default) both at full level, 100 % the doubles alone, for a parallel bus.
Mono-safe
Doubles without phasing
Everything under 150 Hz stays your lead alone, and the doubles' pitch and timing keep moving. On pink noise the default sums to mono within 0.7 dB of the dry: no comb.
Level-matched
Thicker, not just louder
The output is level-matched, so turning DOUBLE or switching TYPE compares the sound, not the loudness. Every preset sits within 0.4 LU of the dry vocal.
13 sourced presets
Start from settings that work
A tight pop double, the micro-pitch recipe, a subtle thickener, an old-stereo double, a rap double, three tape doubles, a choir stack, two slapbacks, doubles only and a wide guitar double.
A face that moves
See the doubles work
The microphone's reflections in the two mirrors brighten with the doubles' own level and go dark at DOUBLE 0; the light round the microphone follows the output. It rests in silence.

How Plus One compares
A full double-tracked vocal in one insert, with the controls most leave out.
| Plus One | Typical vocal doubler plugins | |
|---|---|---|
| Setup | One insert on the vocal | Copying, nudging, detuning and panning tracks by hand |
| Mono | Lows kept as the lead alone; holds up summed to mono | A hollow, phasey comb in mono |
| Kinds of double | TIGHT, TAPE, STACK and SLAP | One fixed sound |
| Tight or loose | HUMAN: detune, drift and timing in one knob | Separate settings, or none |
| Tone of the doubles | TONE: open down to a 3 kHz old-stereo double | A separate EQ |
| Doubles only | MIX at 100 % for a parallel bus | Often not available |
| Latency | 0 ms at the default | Often some, from the pitch shifting |
| Level | Level-matched: thicker, not just louder | Louder as you add doubles |
| Try-and-compare | A/B, A>B, undo and redo | Often missing |
| Hardware control | MIDI Learn on every control | Often host automation only |
| Licence | 5 computers per copy, no dongle, works offline | Often fewer activations, or a dongle |
| Updates | Lifetime updates included | Often paid upgrades |

Questions
Will the double phase or sound hollow in mono?
No, by design. Everything under 150 Hz stays your lead alone, and the doubles keep moving in pitch and time, so no comb settles in. On pink noise the default's mono sum stays within 0.7 dB of the dry. Sum your mix to mono with Plus One on and listen.
Can I track and sing through it live?
Yes. At the default (TIGHT), and on TAPE and SLAP, it adds no latency. STACK uses a pitch shifter and adds about 60 ms, which it reports to your DAW so playback stays in time: use STACK for mixing rather than for tracking.
Which TYPE should I use?
TIGHT for modern pop and most vocals. TAPE for the classic sixties tape double. STACK for a big, wide chorus. SLAP for a slapback. Every TYPE is level-matched, so switching compares the sound, not the loudness.
Does it work on rap vocals?
Yes. Load Tight / Rap Tight: less detune and drift and a narrower spread, so a close rap vocal gets thicker without going blurry.
Can I use it on a bus, or on guitars?
Yes. Mix / Doubles Only gives the doubles alone for a parallel bus, and Guitar / Wide Double is a wide double for guitars or any other part.
Does it work in my DAW?
Any 64-bit DAW that loads VST3, AU or AAX plug-ins, on Windows 7 SP1 or later or macOS 10.13 or later. There is no standalone app.
How many computers can I use it on?
Up to five of your own for each copy you buy. To move it, deactivate it in the plugin on the old computer and unlock it on the new one.
Does it need the internet?
Once, to unlock it with the code we email you. After that it checks in now and then and works offline in between.
Is there a manual?
Yes. The full manual explains every control, every preset and the menus, with tips. It opens from the help key (?) in the plugin's top bar, and lives at https://voxsamples.com/plus-one-vocal-doubler-effect-manual.

Founder's Story
"When COVID hit, I finally had time to dive into music production—only to discover I was missing the right tools. The plugins I tried were clunky, overloaded with unnecessary features, and killed my vibe with endless tweaking. I knew there had to be a better way.
So, with my engineering background, I started making free and simple audio plugins for my producer friends. They loved them! That’s when I set out on a mission to create plugins that save you time, streamline your workflow, and keep your creativity flowing."
- Ryan Svensson (Founder & CEO)
