What does VS-E4 do?
It is a console channel EQ: four colour-coded bands to cut the mud, lift the presence and add the air, high-pass and low-pass filters to clean both ends, and an INPUT that drives the line stage for console colour. A live curve over the spectrum shows what you are doing.
Which tracks is it for?
Anything you mix track by track: vocals, drums, bass, guitars, keys and samples. The four bands sit where a mix needs them most: weight, body or mud, presence and air.
How is it different from a plain EQ?
It works like a console channel: four bands with the ranges you reach for, the outer two shelf or bell, so you move fast. The curve over the input and output spectrum lets you find a boxy frequency by eye and drag it out, and INPUT adds console colour when you want it.
What does "one analog unit, built in" mean?
VS-E4 carries the small part tolerances of a single analog unit, each side its own, in every setting. It is one fixed unit: there is no unit selector and nothing to set up.
