TrampolineOctave effect · a clean or gritty octave under anything you play or sing, at the same loudness
The octave plugin for chords and live playing in one.
Insert it and a thin riff, synth line or vocal gets a thick copy an octave under it. CLEAN moves every note of a chord or a sung line at once; PEDAL is the zero-latency analog-style octaver for playing live. The whole sound stays at your track's loudness as the octaves come up.

Hear the difference
The same part, without and with Trampoline.
PEDAL octave down on a guitar riff: a bass line under it
A synthesised single-note guitar riff - Pedal / Fake Bass Riff (PEDAL, DOWN 80 %, DRY 60 %)
PEDAL octave up with GRIT on a guitar lead
A synthesised single-note lead high on the neck - the driven octave-up lead (PEDAL, UP 70 %, GRIT 70 %)
CLEAN octaves up and down on guitar chords
Synthesised clean strummed chords - the two-voice stack (CLEAN, DOWN 50 %, UP 50 %)
CLEAN octave down under a sung hook
A sung hook - Vocal / Octave Vocal Twin (CLEAN, DOWN 40 %, TONE 8 kHz)
The default setting on a dry lead vocal
A dry sung lead vocal - Init, nothing touched (CLEAN, DOWN 60 %, DRY 100 %, TONE 1.2 kHz)
A round CLEAN octave down under a synth line
A synthesised dry saw-synth line - Clean / Synth Sub Layer (CLEAN, DOWN 70 %, TONE 400 Hz)
The guitar and synth parts are synthesised, computed rather than played; the two vocals are sung loops. Each pair is loudness-matched and time-aligned.
Trampoline in action
Trampoline in about a minute on a synthesised guitar riff: DOWN, UP, DRY, TONE, PEDAL, GRIT, a preset and ENGAGE.
Why Trampoline
Chords or live playing, one switch
Octave tools make you choose: the analog-style ones are instant but follow one note, so chords and vocals warble; the clean ones handle chords but add delay you can't play through. TYPE gives you both: CLEAN for chords, vocals and loops, PEDAL at zero latency for playing live.
More octave, never more volume
As DOWN and UP come up, the whole sound is trimmed to stay at your track's loudness, and every preset sits within about 1 LU of the dry signal. ENGAGE and every knob compare the sound, not the level.
The octaves land on the beat
In CLEAN both octave voices land on your dry sound within 0.9 ms, and the delay CLEAN needs is reported to your DAW the instant TYPE changes, so the track stays in time. The face prints the figure.
Down. Up.
Two big knobs do the work: the copy an octave under your sound and the copy an octave over it. The line under each reads it against your dry sound.

The octave plugin
- CLEAN: every note of a chord. Chords, vocals, synths and whole loops get clean, in-tune octaves, with the delay made up by your DAW.
- PEDAL: play through it live. The analog-style octaver, one note at a time, at zero latency, with GRIT to drive the octave up.
- More octave, never more volume. The whole sound stays at your track's loudness, and every preset sits within about 1 LU of the dry.
- On the beat. In CLEAN both octaves land on your dry sound within 0.9 ms, and the latency is printed on the face.
- DOWN and UP (an octave under and over), DRY, TONE (a round sub to a full copy) and GRIT (PEDAL's drive).
- TYPE: CLEAN and PEDAL, with one and two octaves down in PEDAL.
- Input and Output gain, IN and OUT meters, MIX and ENGAGE.
- 13 factory presets and your own preset files; A/B, undo and redo, MIDI Learn on every control; a window from 75 to 200 %; the full manual.
TYPE
Two octavers. One switch.
CLEAN moves every note of chords, vocals and loops at once, with its delay made up by your DAW. PEDAL is the analog-style octaver, one note at a time, at zero latency.
What Trampoline does
Every control has one job: the octave you hear in your head, faster.
TYPE
Two octavers on one switch
CLEAN POLYPHONIC moves every note at once; PEDAL ANALOG is the classic analog-style octave, one note at a time, at zero latency. The line under the keys prints the latency each brings. Every preset sets TYPE, and switching dips the sound 10 ms each way, so the change never clicks.
CLEAN
Every note of a chord
A chord gets an octave of every note, a vocal a whole sung line an octave lower, and a full loop moves together, clean and in tune. It needs about 91 ms at 48 kHz to listen; Trampoline tells your DAW, which plays the track that much earlier, so it stays in time with everything else.
PEDAL
Play through it live
The sound of the classic analog octave pedals: the octave down follows one note at a time and plays as loud and as long as each note, with two octaves down coming in as DOWN goes up; the octave up rings metallic. Zero latency, for riffs, bass lines and leads played live.
DOWN
The octave under
The copy an octave under your sound, 0 to 100 %, 60 % by default. A little thickens a part; a lot puts a solid low line under it. In PEDAL it also brings in a voice two octaves down, at half the level. The line under it reads the octave against DRY, 4.4 DB UNDER DRY at the default.
UP
The octave over
The copy an octave over your sound, 0 to 100 %, off by default. In CLEAN a clean, bright octave of every note; in PEDAL the ringing, metallic octave-up sound, which GRIT drives harder. With DOWN and UP together, every note gets an octave above and below.
DRY
Your sound under the octaves
Your own sound, 0 to 100 %, full by default. Lower it to let an octave take the lead; at 0 you hear the octaves alone. Turn it down on a single-note riff and the low line becomes the bass part.
TONE
A round sub or a full copy
How dark or bright the octaves are, 200 Hz to 8 kHz, 1.2 kHz by default, on the octave voices only: your dry sound is never filtered. Under about 500 Hz the octave down turns into a round sub for synths and bass; from about 4 kHz an octave copy keeps the whole character of a voice.
GRIT
Drive on the octave up
In PEDAL, GRIT drives the octave up from a clean ring to a raw growl, 0 to 100 %. Its loudness is held within 0.3 LU across the knob, so it changes the texture, not the level. In CLEAN it does nothing and its line reads PEDAL ONLY.
The level rule
More octave, not more volume
As DOWN or UP come up, the whole sound is trimmed to stay at your track's loudness, measured on vocals, guitars and synths. Every preset sits within about 1 LU of the dry at -18 and -26 LUFS in, so switching Trampoline on and off is a fair comparison.
IN, OUT, MIX and ENGAGE
Fit it to the track
IN and OUT set the gain either side, -24 to +24 dB, with meters, and a safety limiter holds the output under -1 dBFS. MIX blends the effect with your track, linear and time-aligned. ENGAGE crossfades in 20 ms, so you compare with the dry track without a click.
13 sourced presets
Start from an octave that works
A bass line from a guitar riff, the driven octave-up lead, a clean octave lead, two octaves down, a round sub under a synth, a two-voice stack on chords, a starting point for chords, an octave up over everything, the octave alone, and two vocal stacks, each built from a documented setting.
The pond
See both octaves
Rings spread across the pond from the stone: on its near side with the octave down, on its far side with the octave up, each reaching further the louder its octave is. The moonlight on the stone follows the output; with ENGAGE off, the pond goes still.
Inside the plugin
The Trampoline window: two big knobs, two types, DRY, TONE and GRIT, and a pond that ripples with each octave.

| Octave up | Clean in CLEAN; ringing and driven by GRIT in PEDAL | Often an octave down only |
| Latency | Reported to your DAW at once and printed on the face | Often not shown |
| Stereo | Mono or stereo; the octave keeps a wide track's width | Often mono only |
| Try-and-compare | A/B, A>B, undo and redo | Often missing |
| Hardware control | MIDI Learn on every control | Often host automation only |
| Licence | 5 computers per copy, no dongle, works offline | Often fewer activations, or a dongle |

Questions
Does it work on chords?
Yes, in CLEAN: every note of a chord is moved an octave. PEDAL follows one note at a time, as an analog octave pedal does, so use it on single-note lines.
Can I play through it live?
Yes, in PEDAL, which has zero latency. CLEAN has about 91 ms at 48 kHz (100 ms at 44.1 kHz), which your DAW makes up on playback but which you would hear when monitoring live.
How low does it go?
One octave down in both types, and in PEDAL also two octaves down, at half DOWN's level.
Does it do an octave up as well?
Yes: UP adds the octave above, clean in CLEAN, ringing in PEDAL, where GRIT drives it.
Will it make my track louder?
No. A level rule keeps the whole sound at the track's loudness as DOWN and UP come up; the presets measure within about 1 LU of the dry.
Does it work on vocals?
Yes, in CLEAN. Vocal / Octave Vocal Twin adds an open octave below the lead, and Vocal / Low Lead Swap lets the lower octave take the lead. The octave moves the whole sound, so it sounds bigger, not like a different singer.
Mono or stereo?
Both. A stereo track's octave keeps its width, so the octave does not sit under a wide track's sides.
Does it work in my DAW?
Any 64-bit DAW that loads VST3, AU or AAX plug-ins, on Windows 7 SP1 or later or macOS 10.13 or later. There is no standalone app.
How many computers can I use it on?
Up to five of your own for each copy you buy. To move it, deactivate it in the plugin on the old computer and unlock it on the new one.
Does it need the internet?
Once, to unlock it with the code we email you. After that it checks in now and then and works offline in between.
Is there a manual?
Yes. The full manual explains every control, every preset and the menus, with tips. It opens from the help key (?) in the plugin's top bar, and lives at https://voxsamples.com/trampoline-octave-effect-manual.
What if it's not for me?

Founder's Story
"When COVID hit, I finally had time to dive into music production—only to discover I was missing the right tools. The plugins I tried were clunky, overloaded with unnecessary features, and killed my vibe with endless tweaking. I knew there had to be a better way.
So, with my engineering background, I started making free and simple audio plugins for my producer friends. They loved them! That’s when I set out on a mission to create plugins that save you time, streamline your workflow, and keep your creativity flowing."
- Ryan Svensson (Founder & CEO)
A thick octave under any part. Chords or live.
Two octavers on one switch: CLEAN for chords, vocals and loops, PEDAL at zero latency for playing live, with an octave up, TONE and GRIT, at your track's loudness.
