A transformer's core saturates the low frequencies first. WEIGHT pushes the lows harder into it and takes the lift back out after, so bass and kick get weight and harmonics while the top stays clean.
Big or small iron
SIZE goes from a big, wide, clean transformer for the master to a small, cheap one that narrows the band and grinds, for lo-fi drums and synths.

IRON
From glue to wrecked
How hard the track drives the transformer: about 2 % distortion at the default on a mix, mostly in the lows, up to wrecked at 100 %. SUBTLE, LIGHT, THICK, DRIVEN or WRECKED under the knob.
WEIGHT
Aim the iron at the lows
Up to +12 dB more drive under 150 Hz into the core, taken back out after it: the lows saturate first, gaining weight and harmonics, while the balance stays flat at small signals.
SIZE
Big clean iron, or small and cheap
BIG keeps a wide, clean band for mixes and masters; TINY narrows it, loses highs and grinds, as a small, cheap transformer does.
TYPE
Four characters
CLEAN with a firm wall and the widest range, WARM with the 2nd harmonic leading, DENSE with the softest knee, GRIT with a grain at low levels.

What is transformer saturation?
The colour of an audio transformer's iron core pushed into saturation. It saturates the low frequencies first, so bass and kick gain weight, harmonics and a softly rounded punch while the top stays clean. It is part of the sound of classic consoles and preamps.
How is it different from tube or tape saturation?
Tube saturation adds harmonics across the whole band, and tape adds compression and softening. Transformer saturation works on the lows first; WEIGHT lets you aim it.
Will it make my mix louder?
No. Every setting is level-matched to the dry, so switching ENGAGE compares the colour, not the volume.
Where should I use it?
On the mix bus and master (Mix Iron, Master Weight), on bass and 808 (Bass Abuse, 808 Iron), on drums (Drum Bus Glue, Kick Weight) and on vocals (Vocal Body).
Does it add latency?
49 samples at 44.1 and 48 kHz (about 1 ms, from the oversampling), none from 88.2 kHz up. Your DAW lines it up.
Does it work in my DAW?
Any 64-bit DAW that loads VST3, AU or AAX plug-ins, on Windows 7 SP1 or later or macOS 10.13 or later. There is no standalone app.
How many computers can I use it on?
