PITCH
Up an octave, always in key
Six steps that stay in key: down an octave or a fourth, as sung, up a fourth, a fifth or an octave (the default). The line under the knob names the interval.
SNAP
Every note jumps
How hard the voice snaps to the notes: at 100 % (the default) it jumps at once, the hard-tuned hyperpop sound; lower, it glides, up to 600 ms at 0 %.
KEY and SCALE
Tuned to your song
SNAP lands on any note with CHROMATIC (the default), or on a scale of your KEY: major, minor, harmonic and melodic minor, the modes, both pentatonics or the blues.
SQUEAK
Squeaky, or strange
Moves the formants on their own, from -6 to +12 semitones: up for a squeaky, younger voice, down for a bigger, alien one, with the pitch unchanged.
CRUSH
From drive to bit-crushed
Up to 60 % it is harmonic drive, harder as it turns; past 60 % bit and sample-rate crushing blend in, down to 4 bits and 3 kHz. The line under the knob reads CLEAN, DRIVE or DRIVE + BITS.
SHINE
Air, squash and density
Air on top, a squash and a limiter's drive together: brighter and denser as it turns, and held at the same loudness, so you judge the sound, not the volume.
DOUBLE
The doubled lead
Two extra takes, one each side, a few cents apart and a little late, for the wide, doubled hyperpop lead. On by default.
MIX
All effect, or a blend
The effect against your dry voice, kept in time with it. 100 % (the default) for the full effect; Mix / Clean Blend keeps 30 % of the clean voice underneath.
Auto input level
The same sound at any recording level
A slow follower brings every take to the level the chain was tuned at, and gives the level back after it, so a quiet or a hot vocal is crushed and polished the same.
LOW LATENCY
Monitor while you record
Cuts the delay to about 80 ms for monitoring while you record, with the snap landing a little behind the voice. Turn it off to mix: that is the full, hard snap.
Output safety
Loud, never over
A brickwall and a ceiling hold the effect under -1 dBFS, and a final safety clip keeps everything under 0 dBFS, even on a crushed, shined voice.

Is this a hyperpop vocal preset or a plugin?
Both. It is one plugin with the whole hyperpop vocal chain inside: hard tuning, pitch, formants, crush, shine and doubling. Insert it and Init is already the hyperpop voice; 13 more presets cover pitched choirs, deep layers, chipmunk and alien voices, crushed leads and more.
Will it tune my vocal to my song's key?
Yes. Set KEY and SCALE to the song's and SNAP lands only on those notes. At the default, CHROMATIC, it snaps to the nearest note of all twelve, so it works before you set a key.
Can I record through it?
It needs time to hear each note before it can snap it: about 148 ms at 48 kHz, which your DAW compensates on playback and in renders, so it is made for mixing a recorded vocal. LOW LATENCY cuts it to about 80 ms for monitoring while you record, with the snap a little behind; turn it off to mix.
Do I have to pitch the voice up?
No. Tune / Snap Only and Tune / Unpitched Hard Tune keep the voice at its own pitch with the hard snap; the formant presets change the character without moving the notes.
Does it get louder when I turn up CRUSH or SHINE?
No. Both are levelled inside, so they add crunch, air and density at the same loudness, and every preset sits within about 1 LU of the dry vocal. The auto input level does the same for quiet and hot recordings.
Does it work in my DAW?
Any 64-bit DAW that loads VST3, AU or AAX plug-ins, on Windows 7 SP1 or later or macOS 10.13 or later. There is no standalone app.
How many computers can I use it on?
Up to five of your own for each copy you buy. To move it, deactivate it in the plugin on the old computer and unlock it on the new one.
Does it need the internet?
