Wave WeaverLFO effect · the pump on every beat, with a filter and a sway on the same curve
The only LFO plugin you'll ever need to make any track breathe on the beat.
Insert it and the track ducks on every beat and swells back, locked to your tempo, with no kick to route. The same LFO closes a low-pass filter on the beat and sways the sound across the speakers, and the level is made up from the curve, so DEPTH changes the movement, not the loudness.

Hear the difference
The same loop, without and with Wave Weaver.
A synth pad pumping on every beat
A sustained synth pad - Init (PUMP, 1/4, DEPTH 60 %)
A synth bass dipping on every beat and swelling back
A held synth bass line - Pump / Four-Floor Pump (PUMP, 1/4, DEPTH 70 %)
A vocal hook pumping on the beat
A wet electro-house vocal hook - Init (PUMP, 1/4, DEPTH 60 %)
A whole mix pumping and opening up on every beat
Synth pad, synth bass and a vocal hook together - Filter / Pump And Open (PUMP, 1/4, FILTER 50 %)
A synth bass with its filter swept in eighths
The held synth bass line - a smooth eighth-note curve on the low-pass (SINE, 1/8, FILTER 80 %)
A synth pad swaying left and right once a bar
The sustained synth pad - Pan / Swaying Pad (SINE, 1 bar, SWAY 50 %, DEPTH 60 %)
Every clip is at 125 BPM with the curve locked to the loop's beat; before and after are matched in loudness.
Wave Weaver in action
Wave Weaver in under a minute: the sound, RATE, DEPTH, SHAPE and the presets.
Why Wave Weaver
The pump, with nothing to route
Insert it and it ducks on every beat, locked to your tempo: half-way down within 0.56 ms of the beat and back to full by the half beat. There is no kick to route, so a track pumps even with no kick behind it.
Deeper, not quieter
The level the dip takes away is made up from the curve itself, so DEPTH, SHAPE and FILTER change the movement, not the loudness. Every factory preset sits within 0.4 LU of the dry on average.
Three moves, one curve
The same curve closes a low-pass filter on the beat and swings the sound across the stereo field, so volume, tone and space move together, in time, from three knobs.
Rate. Depth.
Two big knobs do the work: how often the track breathes, locked to your song, and how deep each dip goes.

The LFO plugin
- The pump at once. PUMP at 1/4, DEPTH 60 %: half-way down within 0.56 ms of every beat and back to full by the half beat.
- Deeper, not quieter. The level is made up from the curve, so DEPTH, SHAPE and FILTER change the movement, not the loudness.
- Three moves, one curve. The volume, a low-pass filter that darkens with each dip, and a sway across the speakers, all in time.
- Tight to the grid. Seven shapes, all but one lowest exactly on the beat, click-free edges and zero latency.
- RATE (20 tempo-locked note values, or 0.05 to 20 Hz with SYNC off) and DEPTH.
- SHAPE: PUMP, SOFT PUMP, SINE, SAW DOWN, SAW UP, SQUARE and STEPS.
- FILTER, SWAY, RETRIG, MIX, Input and Output gain, IN and OUT meters, and ENGAGE.
- 15 factory presets and your own preset files; A/B, undo and redo, MIDI Learn on every control; a window from 75 to 200 %; the full manual.
SHAPE · FILTER · SWAY
Tone and space on the same curve.
FILTER closes a low-pass as the volume dips and opens it as it swells back; SWAY moves the sound left and right, in time with both.
What Wave Weaver does
Every control has one job: the movement you hear in your head, on the beat, faster.
RATE
Every move on the beat
How often the movement repeats, as one of 20 note values from 4 bars to 1/32 triplet, straight, dotted or triplet. 1/4 is one dip per beat, 1/2 half-time, 1/8 and 1/16 a faster flutter. The line under it shows the speed in hertz at your tempo.
SYNC
Locked to the song, or free
On, every cycle lands on your song's grid, at any tempo and from any start point: within 0.01 ms from 90 to 174 BPM in the tests, with playback started mid-bar. Off, RATE runs free from 0.05 to 20 Hz.
DEPTH
As much pump as you want
How far the volume dips at the curve's low point: 35 % is a 3.7 dB breath, 60 % an 8.0 dB pump, 90 % a 20 dB dip, 100 % down to silence. At 0 the volume stays still and FILTER and SWAY move on their own.
SHAPE
Seven curves
PUMP, SOFT PUMP, SINE, SAW DOWN, SAW UP, SQUARE and STEPS: the classic duck, a rounder breath, a smooth swell, a fade through each cycle, a straight climb back, a hard chop or a climb in four steps. All but SAW DOWN are lowest exactly on the beat.
Level made up
Deeper, not quieter
The level the dip takes away is made up from the curve's own average, so every shape stays within 0.35 dB of the dry on pink noise at any DEPTH. You choose how much movement, not how loud.
FILTER
Darker on every dip
A low-pass that closes with the curve: open at 16 kHz at the top, and at the low point down to 1.5 kHz at 30 %, 722 Hz at 50 %, 200 Hz at 100 %. A darker pump with DEPTH up, a moving filter on its own with DEPTH low.
SWAY
Move it across the speakers
Swings the sound left and right with the curve, around the centre, with the power kept even; at 100 % the curve's far ends reach hard left and hard right. Slow and smooth, a static pad drifts once a bar.
RETRIG
Follow your own pattern
Each MIDI note sent to the track restarts the curve at its exact sample, so the dips land on a kick part, a chord part or your playing instead of the song's beat. Presets leave it as it is.
MIX
Softer, not slower
The moving sound against the dry, linear and in phase, so lowering it softens the movement without slowing or colouring it. At 0 % you hear the dry signal exactly.
Zero latency
Play and sing through it
Nothing is delayed at any setting, and there is no tail. Every curve is smoothed over about 1.6 ms, so even SQUARE's and STEPS's jumps never click.
15 sourced presets
Start from settings that work
The default pump, a four-on-the-floor bass dip, a heavy whole-track pump, a breath under a mix, a half-time breathe, pump and open, a swaying pad, a square chop, a bar fade and more, every one within 0.4 LU of the dry.
A loom that moves
See the curve
The teal wave woven across the loom is the curve. A light runs along it like a shuttle, dimming in each dip, the threads brighten with DEPTH and the cloth glows with the output. With ENGAGE off the loom rests.
Inside the plugin
The Wave Weaver window: two big knobs, seven shapes, a filter and a sway on one curve, and a loom that moves with it.

How Wave Weaver compares
The pump on every beat, level-matched and locked to your song, with the controls most leave out.
| Wave Weaver | Typical LFO plugins | |
|---|---|---|
| The pump | On every beat the moment it is inserted, nothing to route | Often a kick routed to every track |
| Loudness | Made up from the curve: DEPTH changes the movement, not the level | Often quieter the deeper you go |
| Targets | Volume, a low-pass filter and stereo position on one curve | Often one target per instance |
| Timing | On the grid at any tempo, from any start point | Often off the beat when playback starts mid-bar |
| Shapes | Seven, all but one lowest exactly on the beat | Often a sine and a square |
| Latency | 0 samples at every setting | Often a look-ahead delay |
| Follow a part | RETRIG restarts the curve on each MIDI note | Often tempo only |
| Try-and-compare | A/B, A>B, undo and redo | Often missing |
| Hardware control | MIDI Learn on every control | Often host automation only |
| Licence | 5 computers per copy, no dongle, works offline | Often fewer activations, or a dongle |
| Updates | Lifetime updates included | Often paid upgrades |

Questions
Do I need to route a kick into it?
No. Wave Weaver draws the curve itself, locked to your host's beat: insert it and it pumps on every beat, with or without a kick in the song.
Will it stay in time if I change tempo or start mid-bar?
Yes. With SYNC on it follows your host's tempo and position; in the tests it stayed within 0.01 ms of the grid from 90 to 174 BPM, with playback starting mid-bar.
Why doesn't the track get quieter when I turn DEPTH up?
Wave Weaver makes up the level the dip takes away, so DEPTH changes the movement, not the loudness. Between the dips the sound sits slightly above the dry (about +0.8 dB at the default); a safety limiter keeps the output under -1 dBFS.
Can I put it on drums?
It dips whatever is on the beat, and on a drum loop that is the kick, so drum loops come out up to 1.6 LU quieter. It is made for pads, basses, synths, vocals and music groups.
Does it add latency?
No: 0 samples at every setting, so you can play and sing through it live.
Can the dips follow my own pattern instead of the beat?
Yes, if your host can send MIDI to an effect: turn RETRIG on and each MIDI note restarts the curve at that note.
Does it work on mono tracks?
Yes for the volume and the filter. SWAY needs a stereo track: on mono there are no sides to move.
Does it work in my DAW?
Any 64-bit DAW that loads VST3, AU or AAX plug-ins, on Windows 7 SP1 or later or macOS 10.13 or later. There is no standalone app.
How many computers can I use it on?
Up to five of your own for each copy you buy. To move it, deactivate it in the plugin on the old computer and unlock it on the new one.
Does it need the internet?
Once, to unlock it with the code we email you. After that it checks in now and then and works offline in between.
Is there a manual?
Yes. The full manual explains every control, every preset and the menus, with tips. It opens from the help key (?) in the plugin's top bar, and lives at https://voxsamples.com/wave-weaver-lfo-effect-manual.
What if it's not for me?

Founder's Story
"When COVID hit, I finally had time to dive into music production—only to discover I was missing the right tools. The plugins I tried were clunky, overloaded with unnecessary features, and killed my vibe with endless tweaking. I knew there had to be a better way.
So, with my engineering background, I started making free and simple audio plugins for my producer friends. They loved them! That’s when I set out on a mission to create plugins that save you time, streamline your workflow, and keep your creativity flowing."
- Ryan Svensson (Founder & CEO)
Every track breathing on the beat. One insert.
The pump on every beat, a filter that darkens with each dip and a sway across the speakers, on one curve, level-matched and at zero latency.
