Why VS-T76
Warmth and control together
Drive INPUT for density; COMP. RATIO from 2:1 to 12:1 sets the hold. Vocals stop jumping out, bass stops wandering, and both sound bigger.
Fast or relaxed
Seven attack and seven release steps, 7 the fastest as on the panel: attack from 0.1 to 2 ms, release from 27 to 572 ms.
Parallel, and shaped to the part
MIX blends in the dry signal without a send, and a sidechain high-pass with mid and high bands in the detector chooses what it reacts to.
Drive it into the tubes
The harder you drive INPUT, the denser and rounder the sound, while COMP. RATIO keeps the level pinned.

What VS-T76 does
Five controls on the panel, seven more in the ADVANCED strip: every control and what it does.
INPUT
Drive it for density
How hard the signal drives the limiter: turn it up for more limiting, and a denser, rounder sound.
OUTPUT
Sets the level after the hold
The level after the limiter, from −30 to +30 dB, on its printed scale.
COMP. RATIO
Pick the hold
2:1, 4:1, 8:1 or 12:1: how strongly peaks over the threshold come down.
ATTACK and RELEASE
Fast or relaxed
Seven steps each, 7 the fastest as on the panel: attack from 0.1 to 2 ms, release from 27 to 572 ms.
MIX
Parallel without a send
Blends the limited signal with the dry input, from the ADVANCED strip.
Sidechain EQ
Shape what it hears
SC HPF, from 20 to 500 Hz, keeps the low end from driving it; MID (±6 dB, 500 Hz to 10 kHz) and HIGH (−10 to 0 dB) set how much those bands drive the limiting.
INTERSTAGE and QUALITY
The finishing touches
INTERSTAGE adds the interstage transformer's shaping in the detector; QUALITY 2x oversamples for a cleaner sound at high settings.
The display unit
See the ceiling hold
Gain reduction, peak, input and output readings with the ratio and release, six seconds of gain reduction history, the live transfer curve and a needle meter. Hide it for a compact window.

How VS-T76 compares
Tube warmth with the controls and the view most leave out.
| VS-T76 | Typical tube limiter plugins | |
|---|---|---|
| Parallel limiting | MIX built in | Often a separate parallel bus |
| Sidechain high-pass | 20 to 500 Hz, so the bass stops pumping it | Often fixed, or none |
| What drives the limiting | MID, MID FREQ and HIGH in the detector | Usually a fixed detector |
| Oversampling | QUALITY 1x or 2x, your choice | Often fixed |
| Gain reduction view | Six seconds of history, a live transfer curve and readouts | Usually a VU needle only |
| Left and right | Each side its own small part tolerances | Often two identical channels |
| Window size | 75 to 200 %, and the display hides | Often one fixed size |
| A/B and undo | A/B, undo and redo built in | Often left to the host |
| MIDI Learn | On every control | Often host automation only |
"Typical" describes what we commonly see in this category; it does not describe any particular product. VS-T76 facts are from the plugin and its manual, October 2026.

Questions
What does VS-T76 do?
It limits through a tube stage. Drive INPUT for a denser, rounder sound and pick a COMP. RATIO to keep the level pinned: vocals stop jumping out, bass stops wandering, and both sound bigger.
What should I use it on?
Vocals and bass first, and anything that needs holding and fattening at once. Fast attack and release for a firm grip, slower steps for a relaxed one; MIX blends in the dry signal.
How is it different from a plain compressor?
The tube stage adds warmth and density as you drive it, so control and character come together. A sidechain high-pass and mid and high bands in the detector shape what it reacts to.
Which formats and systems does it run on?
VST3 and AAX on Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit; VST3, AU and AAX on macOS 11 or later, in any 64-bit DAW that loads those formats. Stereo or mono.
Does it add latency?
None at QUALITY 1x. At 2x it oversamples for a cleaner sound at high settings and reports 64 samples to your DAW, which keeps everything in time.
What does "one analog unit, built in" mean?
VS-T76 carries the small part tolerances of a single unit, each side its own, in every setting. It is one fixed unit: there is no selector and nothing to switch. Switched off with the ON lever, it passes the input through untouched, kept in time.

Founder's Story
"When COVID hit, I finally had time to dive into music production—only to discover I was missing the right tools. The plugins I tried were clunky, overloaded with unnecessary features, and killed my vibe with endless tweaking. I knew there had to be a better way.
So, with my engineering background, I started making free and simple audio plugins for my producer friends. They loved them! That’s when I set out on a mission to create plugins that save you time, streamline your workflow, and keep your creativity flowing."
