Bathroom SimulatorBathroom reverb effect · 3 real measured bathrooms, the party behind the door
The only bathroom reverb you'll ever need to put any sound in a real tiled room.
Put a vocal, a drum loop or a whole track inside a real bathroom in one insert: three measured rooms, a DOOR knob for the music at the party heard from inside the bathroom, and TILE from soft towels to ringing porcelain. Zero latency, every preset level-matched.

Ducked vocal room
A dry female pop chorus · Duck / Ducked Room
Drums in a powder room

The same vocal in a guest bathtub
The same soul vocal · Space / Guest Bathtub (as measured)

Why Bathroom Simulator
Real rooms, not a guess
Every SPACE is the sound of a real bathroom, measured: a luxury hotel bathroom, a cafe's tiled restroom and an old home's guest bathtub. Pick one and you are in it.
The party behind the door
Turn DOOR and the music moves outside the bathroom door: muffled, while the tiled room rings around you. The level holds as you turn it, so the effect never just gets quieter.
Two knobs to the exact room
ROOM makes the bathroom smaller or larger and reads the reverb time in seconds; TILE goes from soft towels to hard, ringing porcelain. DUCK keeps the words clear.
Room. Door.
Two big knobs do the work: how big the bathroom is, and whether the music is in the room with you or outside the door.

The bathroom reverb effect
- Real rooms. A luxury hotel bathroom, a cafe's tiled restroom and an old home's guest bathtub, each measured.
- The party behind the door. The music muffled down to 650 Hz while the tiled room rings around you, the level held.
- Soft or ringing. TILE from towels and a curtain to hard porcelain and glass.
- Clear and instant. DUCK keeps the words clear; zero latency.
- SPACE (HOTEL BATHROOM, CAFE RESTROOM, GUEST BATHTUB), with the window's scene changing to match.
- ROOM (0.70 to 1.45 times the measured size, read in seconds), DOOR (open to 650 Hz) and TILE (a 3 kHz shelf, -18 to +4 dB).
- DUCK, MIX, IN and OUT with meters, and ENGAGE.
- 14 factory presets and your own preset files; A/B, undo and redo, MIDI Learn on every control; a window from 75 to 200 %; the full manual.
DOOR
The party, behind the door.
The music muffled as if through a closed door, with the tiled bathroom ringing around you: the edit everyone knows, in one knob.
What Bathroom Simulator does
Every control has one job: the exact bathroom you hear in your head, faster.
SPACE
Three real bathrooms, measured
HOTEL BATHROOM, CAFE RESTROOM or GUEST BATHTUB: each is the measured sound of a real room, played back exactly, each level-matched to the others. The scene in the window changes with it, so you see the room you hear.
ROOM
From powder room to large restroom
Scales the chosen bathroom from 0.70 to 1.45 times its measured size, so it rings shorter or longer. The knob reads the reverb time in seconds, and AS MEASURED at 40 %.
DOOR
Hear the party from the bathroom
A low-pass from open down to 650 Hz on the music and on what fills the room, while the tiled room rings louder around it. Half way is a door ajar (3.6 kHz); fully closed is the party from inside the bathroom.
Level held across DOOR
No drop when the door closes
A measured makeup gain keeps the loudness steady as you turn DOOR, so you judge the sound, not the level.
TILE
Soft towels or ringing porcelain
A high shelf on the room at 3 kHz: -18 dB at 0 % for towels and a curtain, as measured at 80 %, +4 dB at 100 % for hard tile and glass.
DUCK
Keep every word clear
One key: the room steps back while the voice or instrument plays and blooms in the gaps, so a wet bathroom never muddies the lyric.
MIX
From a hint to all room
The room against the dry signal, equal power. The default 35 % puts the room about 6 dB under the dry; 100 % is the room alone.
IN and OUT
Gain where you need it
Input and output gain, -24 to +24 dB, with level meters on both.
14 sourced presets
Start from settings that work
Small and large rooms, soft and hard walls, three party presets with the door ajar or closed, blends, a ducked room and one per space, every one within 1 LU of the dry signal.
Zero latency
Track and perform through it
The room answers on the first sample, so you can sing or play through it live.
A face that moves
See the room ring
The doorway's pink light glows with the output and the mirror mists over with the room's tail, then clears. It rests when you bypass.

How Bathroom Simulator compares
A real, measured bathroom in one insert, with the controls most leave out.
| Bathroom Simulator | Typical bathroom reverb plugins | |
|---|---|---|
| The room | Three real bathrooms, measured | A generic small-room algorithm |
| Room size | ROOM, 0.70 to 1.45 x, read in seconds | A decay number to guess at |
| The party edit | DOOR muffles the music, the room rings around you | An EQ and a reverb, set by hand |
| Level | Held across DOOR; every preset within 1 LU | The muffled music drops in level |
| Walls | TILE, soft towels to ringing porcelain | Often fixed |
| Clarity | DUCK built in | A separate ducker or sidechain |
| Latency | 0 ms | Often some |
| Try-and-compare | A/B, A>B, undo and redo | Often missing |
| Hardware control | MIDI Learn on every control | Often host automation only |
| Licence | 5 computers per copy, no dongle, works offline | Often fewer activations, or a dongle |
| Updates | Lifetime updates included | Often paid upgrades |

Questions
How do I make the 'bathroom at a party' effect?
Put it on the music, a bus or the whole mix and load Party / Door Closed: the music is muffled as if through a closed door while the bathroom rings around you. Party / Door Ajar is the door half open, and Party / Club Restroom puts you in the cafe restroom.
Is it a real bathroom or a simulation?
Each SPACE is the measured sound of a real bathroom, played back exactly: a luxury hotel bathroom, a cafe's single restroom and an old home's guest bathtub. ROOM, DOOR and TILE shape it from there.
Will it wash out my vocal?
No. The default MIX puts the room about 6 dB under the dry voice, Mix / Subtle Tiles about 10 dB under, and DUCK pulls the room back while the words are sung.
Does it get quieter when I close the door?
No. A measured makeup gain holds the level as you turn DOOR, and every preset sits within 1 LU of the dry signal.
Can I use it live?
Yes. It adds no latency, so you can sing or play through it in real time.
Does it work in my DAW?
Any 64-bit DAW that loads VST3, AU or AAX plug-ins, on Windows 7 SP1 or later or macOS 10.13 or later. There is no standalone app.
How many computers can I use it on?
Up to five of your own for each copy you buy. To move it, deactivate it in the plugin on the old computer and unlock it on the new one.
Does it need the internet?
Once, to unlock it with the code we email you. After that it checks in now and then and works offline in between.
Is there a manual?
Yes. The full manual explains every control, every preset and the menus, with tips. It opens from the help key (?) in the plugin's top bar, and lives at https://voxsamples.com/bathroom-simulator-reverb-effect-manual.
What if it's not for me?

Founder's Story
"When COVID hit, I finally had time to dive into music production—only to discover I was missing the right tools. The plugins I tried were clunky, overloaded with unnecessary features, and killed my vibe with endless tweaking. I knew there had to be a better way.
So, with my engineering background, I started making free and simple audio plugins for my producer friends. They loved them! That’s when I set out on a mission to create plugins that save you time, streamline your workflow, and keep your creativity flowing."
- Ryan Svensson (Founder & CEO)
