What does VS-E97 do?
It is a psychoacoustic enhancer: it works on how you hear a mix rather than simply adding EQ. It deepens or tightens the bass, opens the mids and highs, lifts the very top and widens the image, so a mix comes up bigger, clearer and wider.
Which sources is it for?
Masters, buses and samples most of all, and any track that sounds small or closed next to a record.
How is it different from an EQ?
An EQ boost makes a mix louder in one place and harsher in another. VS-E97 shapes the bass, the mid-highs, the top and the stereo width together, with PROCESS setting how much of the bass and mid-high processing is added.
What is the difference between ACTIVE and POWER?
ACTIVE switches the processing in or out with a short crossfade to the time-aligned dry signal. POWER switches the whole plugin in or out.
What does "one analog unit, built in" mean?
VS-E97 carries the small part tolerances of a single analog unit, each side its own, in every setting. It is one fixed unit: there is no unit selector and nothing to set up.
